From its inception in 2001, Revenue Cycle Partners has only provided self-pay portfolio management services using a holistic account resolution model. This model provides our clients with enhanced patient/guarantor relations and increased profitability results. Revenue Cycle Partners’ focus as a team is to ensure that every patient/guarantor understands why they have an obligation with the hospital and their alternatives in resolving their account. For Revenue Cycle Partners, success is getting the patient/guarantor to the right resolution. Revenue Cycle Partners’ program offers a more comprehensive account work strategy than an early out/pre-collect program and is considered to be an extended business office solution or an outsourced alternative to managing the patient/guarantor self-pay accounts in-house.

Revenue Cycle Partners is focused 100 percent on hospital services and the healthcare industry. Revenue Cycle Partners has built a strong core competency and specialized programs for the hospital community only. This focus has allowed Revenue Cycle Partners to become experts in this field and a recognized leader in the patient/guarantor account resolution industry.

The philosophy at Revenue Cycle Partners is that a great majority of patients/guarantors want to resolve their account with the hospital. With that being said, Revenue Cycle Partners’ account resolution model is designed to eliminate all barriers in getting the account resolved. The first step is to ensure that the patient/guarantor understands why they owe the balance on their account. The second step is to determine if the patient/guarantor has the ability to pay their account. If the patient/guarantor doesn’t have the ability to pay, Revenue Cycle Partners’ account focus will be to assist the patient/guarantor in getting qualified for public assistance or the hospital sponsored charity program.

When the focus is to work WITH the patient/guarantor, not AGAINST them, the patient/guarantor wants to do their part and pay the bill. Revenue Cycle Partners has exceeded 600,000 patient/guarantor conversations without a complaint. With a “collection” approach to accounts, the emphasis is on collecting money and this most often puts the patient/guarantor on the defense especially if they are having financial difficulties in paying the account. By taking a collaborative or account resolution approach to resolving the account, the patient/guarantor takes ownership in the decision of how they will pay their bill.

For those patients/guarantors who have the ability to pay, Revenue Cycle Partners’ focus is to work with the patient/guarantor to determine the best method in paying their account. Revenue Cycle Partners takes a very compassionate approach in helping each patient/guarantor pay their bills. For a large majority of these accounts, the individual didn’t choose to incur this obligation. With this understanding, Revenue Cycle Partners will work side by side with the patient/guarantor to resolve the bill in whichever option best fits their financial situation.

Both founding partners, Jim Harris and Scott Morgan have been involved in the outsourcing of self-pay accounts since the mid 1990’s. Revenue Cycle Partners’ management team has a combined total of over 50 years of medical billing, claims processing, and healthcare receivables management experience. Revenue Cycle Partners’ current staff of patient service representatives has an average of over ten years of medical billing and/or claims processing experience, allowing each patient service representative to understand and fully explain each and every bill to the patient/guarantor.
