Patient Service Representative (PSR)- is responsible for interacting with patients/guarantors in resolving their hospital accounts in the most appropriate manner. The PSR position is not a collection focused position but rather a patient care position, allowing the PSR to assist patients/guarantors in finding the best resolution for their hospital account. This resolution could be assisting the patient in qualifying for a hospital sponsored financial assistance program, offering a low interest medical loan, adding primary or secondary insurance, or taking payment over the phone.

Core Qualifications:

• Desire to show care and empathy towards patients/guarantors;
• High school graduate required; some college preferred;
• Minimum of one year of experience in a medical billing or a medical claims processing environment, including hospitals, physician offices, ambulatory care centers, third party administrators, or insurance companies; and
• Excellent telephone and communication skills including a clear and easily understandable voice and the ability to clearly communicate account and billing issues to patients/guarantors.

Compensation and Benefits:

The PSR position is a full-time position with a competitive hourly wage based upon previous experience. RCP provides a progressive benefits package.
